5 minute Treat - Chia Pudding
Some of you might know this but I am a Certified Health & Fitness Chef. But the truth is, just because I am skilled at it doesn’t mean I actually cook or bake much. My schedule is hectic just like a lot of us and I feel like I am always doing a million things or have a bunch of to-do list items in my head. So how do I eat properly and stay fueled? I PREP or find ways to what I like to call, “half cook”.
Here is a quick and easy way to get a healthy treat or breakfast made for the week. It will take 5 minutes to prepare the night before (and please do not say you don’t have 5 minutes to spare because you will make time for the things you prioritize, obvi health). You can make as many as you want for your busy week and it will stay in your fridge perfectly well and tasty!
Ingredients
Chia seeds
Oat milk of any other non dairy milk
Dates
Cinnamon
Berries and nuts as toppings if you want some extra crunch when you are ready to eat
Steps
Put about ½ cup of chia seeds in each jar
Cut up 2 dates per jar (tip: I use a pair of food scissors so it’s easier)
Sprinkle cinnamon
Add oat milk then stir it up (tip: let it sit for 3 minutes then stir again to avoid clumping)
Put in fridge for at least 2 hours (overnight is the best so the dates soften)
And there you have it; a perfect treat that is delicious, full of protein, fiber, and good fats!
